Our Privacy Policy facilitates fair handling of personal information, and identifies how we at Pyramid Liquor Licensing (Pyramid) collect, access, store and use personal information and applies to all your dealings with us, whether using the Pyramid website or by communicating with us in writing, including email, or in person.

What is personal information?

The type of personal information Pyramid may collect about you includes your name, address, telephone number, email address, the name of your employer, your job title, credit or debit card or other banking details, information provided during our interactions with you, and any other information that we reasonably need to collect and store to enable us to provide our services to you.  

We may collect personal information if you request us to provide you with advice or assistance, are involved in a matter that we are providing advice about, inquiring about or investigating, provide services to us, subscribe to our newsletter, participate in any of our webcasts, training sessions or seminars.

If you or your current or former employer requests us to make inquiries or investigate a matter that you are involved in or have knowledge of, then we may collect personal information about you.

If you are one of our suppliers or contractors, or one of their employees, we may collect your name, contact details and position in the organisation.

Why we collect information

Pyramid collects personal information to enable us to deliver our services to our clients.  

The way we collect information will normally make it clear why the information is being collected, or we will tell you at the time we are collecting information for you why it is being requested.  If it is not clear to you why we are collecting information, please contact us and ask for clarification.

What is sensitive information?

Sensitive information is personal information or an opinion about an individual’s:

• membership of a trade union; or

Sensitive information also includes health information, genetic information and biometric information or templates.

We will not generally collect sensitive personal information unless it is for a lawful purpose and is absolutely necessary for us to be able to provide our services.

While Pyramid takes reasonable precautions to ensure personal information we hold about you is kept in a secure environment, we cannot guarantee the total security of all data transmission over the Internet and we do not accept liability for information that is transmitted over the Internet.

As soon as practicable after we gather or receive your personal information, we will cause it to be stored electronically using two forms of encryption including the common TSL standard for data in transit and encryption using 256-bit AES keys with all data at rest encrypted using 128-bit AES keys.

Our website may contain plug-ins or links to other sites and we do not accept responsibility for the content of, or the privacy practices or policies of, those sites.

Accessing your personal information 

You are entitled to access personal information we hold about you. You may also ask us to correct or update any inaccurate information we hold about you.

We may require a written request to enable us to provide you with your information to ensure that information remains secure and is not inadvertently disclosed to any third party.

We will not refuse access to your personal unless there is a legal basis for doing so and we will explain those reasons to you and we will attempt to provide your personal information within a reasonable time.

In rare cases we may ask you to pay a small fee to cover the costs of us retrieving and providing you with your information.

Because your privacy is important to us, will make attempt to resolve any concerns you have arising from the collection, storage and use of your personal information.
